Developed Occo Marbella’s scalable logo, brand guidelines, and proprietary pattern system to establish a consistent and future-proof brand identity.
Overview
Occo Marbella is a luxury hospitality destination known for its distinctive dining experience and themed events. As the brand continued to grow, it required a structured and scalable brand identity system to ensure consistency across its communications and future brand applications.
I was brought in by Luxma Agency as a freelance brand designer to formalise Occo’s visual identity by reconstructing core brand assets and developing comprehensive brand guidelines. The goal was to establish a clear and scalable foundation that would support the brand’s ongoing growth and ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
Role
Freelance Brand Designer
Commissioned by Luxma Agency (Marbella)
Scope included:
-
Logo reconstruction and vectorization
-
Brand guidelines development
-
Creation of a proprietary brand pattern system
-
Establishing scalable and consistent brand foundations
The Challenge
The brand lacked formalized identity guidelines, and its existing logo was only available in a non-scalable pixel-based format. Beyond the logo and existing marketing visuals, there was no structured brand system or documented visual framework to guide consistent application.
The challenge was to define a cohesive and future-proof brand identity using limited existing assets. This required interpreting the brand’s positioning, audience, and experiential qualities based on available materials such as photography, social media presence, and event programming.
Through close collaboration with Luxma Agency and iterative feedback, I translated these insights into a clear and structured visual system that accurately reflected Occo’s identity and premium positioning.
The Solution
I reconstructed the logo as a fully scalable vector asset, ensuring it could be applied consistently across all digital and physical applications without loss of quality.
Building on this foundation, I developed comprehensive brand guidelines that defined the brand’s visual language, including typography, color usage, layout principles, and asset application. From these guidelines, I also designed a proprietary brand pattern that complemented the identity and provided an additional distinctive visual element for use across branded materials.
This structured system provided Occo with a clear and scalable identity framework, enabling consistent brand expression and supporting future collaboration with internal and external creative teams.
